Assignment_Order Remedies CdAssignmentOrders
An assignment order is a creditor remedy that has the effect of causing the debtor to assign some asset to the creditor. This remedy is most often utilized where the asset is in the nature of a revenue stream, such as a royalty or other right to future payment.
Some jurisdictions do not use Assignment Orders but instead allow for so-called continuing garnishments which can have basically the same effect.
Assignment Orders are also often used to assign the debtor's account receivables to the creditor, so that the creditor can collect on those receivables to satisfy the judgment.
